For years, Creekside has encouraged clients to engage in community outreach. As a natural extension of these efforts, we partnered with Entrepreneurs Foundation (EF) to foster corporate citizenship among Bay Area companies.
Specifically, we contributed communications expertise and resources to spread the word about EF’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.
The first fruit of Creekside’s EF partnership was the Silicon Valley Corporate Citizenship Report. Published in 2010 to inform business leaders as they consider philanthropic endeavors, this study examined how and why local Bay Area companies pursue corporate citizenship.

As discussed in an EF announcement, the study revealed that Silicon Valley corporate giving remained strong across several key measures, despite the challenging economic climate at that time.
Creekside’s contribution to this report was a collaborative effort that included fellow ER communications partners: Communications4Good, Jones PR, and study co-sponsor Silicon Valley Community Foundation. We look forward to continuing our work with these organizations and others to strengthen Bay Area corporate citizenship.
